Pine, Kiln Dried, Merchantable grade lumber. Often described as a Linear Foot, 1 x 6 (nominal sizing), this product typically measures 3/4 in thick by 5-1/2 in wide. Appearance notes: Pattern #14, Flooring.
- Pine is a softwood which grows in most areas of the Northern Hemisphere; Pine is lightweight, straight grained and resists shrinking and swelling
- This economical heartwood grade allows slightly larger knots than construction grades; holes limited to size of knots; allows checks, some splits and some manufacturing flaws; may contain sapwood in varying amounts; used for fence boards, rails, and other
- Kiln dried – moisture content of 19% or less
- Pattern #14; 4/4, centre matched, tongue & groove flooring which results in a handsome consistent finish
